TEST-Gary-Adverse Childhood Experiences: The Study and Beyond

This is a live, instructor-led training scheduled for November 14, 2025 from 11AM- 1PM Central.  The attendee must access the Zoom room no more than 15 minutes prior to the start of the training and connect audio via their device or call the conference number. Attendee must be in the room individually, be able to access audio, attend the entire training, complete a post test and evaluation in order to receive credit and access their certificate.

Description 

This training is a beginners introduction to the Adverse Childhood Experiences studies. It reviews the history of the ACE’s study and the outcomes of the original and subsequent studies. The training goes on to describe how ACE’s effect life long health, behavior and social outcomes. Finally it reviews evidence informed strategies to prevent ACE’s and the mitigate the effects of ACE’s.

 None

Target Audience

Licensed and unlicensed Behavioral Health, Physical Health, and Child Welfare professionals. Topic level is beginner to intermediate.

1.Identify the prevalence of Adverse Childhood Experiences 

2.State two ways Adverse Childhood Experiences disrupt a person’s wellbeing throughout the life span

3.State two later in life negative outcomes associated with Adverse Childhood Experiences

4.Identify two prevention strategies that the participant can implement
