TEST- CE CERT- The Basics of Dementia

The purpose of this training is to provide an overview of what dementia is, including types. Attendees will gain awareness about prevalence, early warning signs and will be able to describe cognitive, behavioral and psychological symptoms as well as interventions used to treat symptoms which include medication and non-medication approaches.

Target Audience

Licensed and unlicensed LTSS, Behavioral Health, and Physical Health professionals. Topic level is beginner to intermediate.

  • Define dementia and identify three types of dementia
  • List three warming signs of Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Name three cognitive, behavioral, and psychological symptoms of dementia
  • Name two interventions used to treat symptoms of dementia
