Test-Monique-Positive Childhood Experiences
This is a live, instructor-led training scheduled for November 14, 2025 from 11:00AM- 12:30PM Central. The attendee must access the Zoom room no more than 15 minutes prior to the start of the training and connect audio via their device or call the conference number. Attendee must be in the room individually, be able to access audio, attend the entire training, complete a post test and evaluation in order to receive credit and access their certificate.

Description
This course will offer an understanding the negative impact on a child's overall development from trauma is important, but equally important is understanding what can be done to prevent or mitigate the effects of ACEs. This training will offer learners an introduction to Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE's) and how they can implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and families.

Target Audience
Our trainings are open to anyone who finds benefit in the topic, however the target audience for this course is: licensed/non-licensed providers, caregivers & direct care staff. Topic level is beginner to intermediate.
Learning Objectives
- Name types of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) & their potential impact on children & adults
- Define PCEs & provide examples
- Examine the ways that risk & protective factors impact childhood resilience
- Identify how PCEs can help a child who has been exposed to trauma
- Strategies for each Hope building block that can be implemented
