Topic Template-Mental Health First Aid for Youth
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is a skills-based training that teaches parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors and health and human services workers and any other adult how to identify, understand and respond to an adolescent (ages 12- 18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.
Please review the following prior to registering:
This course requires that you complete 2 hours of self-paced pre-work in order to be eligible to attend the 5.5 hours of instructor-led training. You must be logged into the training room individually and not as a group. The course is held via Zoom. You will be able to access the Zoom training once your pre work is completed. It is required that you be on camera during the session.
