Culturally Appropriate Care and Health Equity
This training is designed for all healthcare professionals to learn how to address culturally appropriate care in order to improve member’s care, safety, and overall experience. Begin by defining cultural terms and their relationship to member experience. Attendees will explore a variety of tools and exercises that can be implemented at both macro and micro levels to achieve optimal outcomes for members and professionals alike. The training will define unconscious bias and examine its potential impact on members’ health outcome. Finally, professionals will apply key strategies to deliver a health equity approach that supports diverse member needs.

Target Audience
Licensed behavioral health professionals including, but not limited to, social workers, graduate-level counselors, therapists, and substance use professionals. Licensed health care professionals including, but not limited to, nurses.
Practice Level: Beginner and/or Intermediate.
