Cultural Competence: Moving From Cultural Competence to Cultural Humility
This training is designed to create an understanding of Cultural Humility and how it relates to Cultural Competence. Specific attention will be given to the role of implicit and explicit bias in interpersonal interactions, and the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services standards.

Target Audience
Unlicensed and licensed behavioral health professionals including but not limited to, social workers, graduate-level counselors, therapists, and substance use professionals. Unlicensed and licensed health care professionals including, but not limited to, nurses.
Practice Level: Beginner and/or Intermediate.

- List three components of culture.
- Related to diversity, state three characteristics that would define a group as a minority.
- Articulate the application of Cultural Humility in terms of its positive impact on member engagement.
- Define two types of bias and state how they impact decision making.
- Identify four sections of the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.
