Suicide Risk Assessment: Part 1

This training will assist in understanding what suicide is, identifying risk/protective factors and learning about warning signs. There is a Module-2 that covers assessment/screening tools and evidenced based treatment methods available for clients.

Target Audience

Unlicensed and licensed behavioral health professionals including, but not limited to, social workers, graduate-level counselors, therapists, and substance use professionals. Unlicensed and licensed health care professionals including, but not limited to, nurses.

Practice Level: Beginner and/or Intermediate.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify risk & protective factors related to suicide attempts/ behavior.
  • State the difference between risk factors & warning signs.
  • List 3 ways of increasing integrated & continuous care to assist in suicide prevention.
