Hooked on a Feeling: Helping Children Understand Emotions
While the child welfare system has historically focused on the physical and safety needs of children, emerging practice within agencies across the country is to now take into account wellbeing as a result of the emotional needs of children. There is an increased focus on children's emotional health. Children need to develop strategies for managing their emotions so that they can build social-emotional skills. This training will assist attendees in learning about the emotions children experience, better understand the impact of trauma in regard to regulating emotions, and learn strategies to help children better recognize and regulate their emotions.
If you need ADA Accommodations, please email us with the name and date of the training at least 3 weeks in advance at: [email protected].
