ForwardTrauma Training for Child Welfare Professionals
Child welfare professionals are leaders in facilitating change from a reliance on psychotropic medications to a trauma-informed system of care. This course supports learning how trauma-informed care supports the healing process.

Target Audience
Foster Care and Child Welfare professionals and stakeholders. Unlicensed and licensed behavioral health professionals including but not limited to, social workers, graduate-level counselors, therapists, and substance use professionals. Unlicensed and licensed health care professionals including, but not limited to, nurses.
Practice Level: Beginner and/or Intermediate.

- Define types of trauma and areas of the brain impacted by trauma.
- Offer three health risk behaviors that are associated with adverse childhood experiences.
