Caregiver Strategies to Address Social Isolation
The purpose of this training is to provide education for caregivers on the harmful effects of social isolation and loneliness for individuals in their care. Caregivers will learn what social isolation is, how it differs from loneliness, and the impact it has on the care recipient’s overall health. Caregivers will also learn what factors increase the risk of social isolation and loneliness, what the benefits of social connection are, and be provided with practical strategies and resources to maintain and/or increase social connection for the care recipient.

Target Audience
Unpaid and Partially Paid Family/Natural Caregivers.
Practice Level: Beginner and/or Intermediate.
