Harm Reduction 101 for New Hampshire Providers
This is a NEW HAMPSHIRE specific training facilitated by the NH Harm Reduction Coalition.
Harm reduction involves a spectrum of strategies including safer techniques, managed use, and abstinence to promote dignity and wellbeing of people who use drugs. Harm reduction is a framework for understanding structural inequalities such as poverty, racism, homophobia, and classism and is centered on meeting people “where they are” but not leaving them there. Understanding harm reduction principles, rooted in evidence-based practices, and knowing how to respond to potential overdoses are vital in supporting safer, connected, and empowered individuals.
