Mindfulness: Calming the Storm

April 22, 2026

Trauma has a profound impact on any individual. Those impacted by trauma are conditioned to their early experiences, the physical and emotional symptoms they experience during and after trauma can have an impact on behavior and emotional reactions in later relationships. These reactions often cause storms in relationships. This training looks at how mindfulness has helped adults and how to use mindfulness to support children/adolescents as they and the adults in their life calm the storms brought on by previous traumas.

Child welfare agencies along with mental health providers need to recognize how various mindfulness techniques can help children/adolescents heal from trauma.

If you need ADA Accommodations, please email us with the name and date of the training at least 3 weeks in advance at: [email protected].
