Substance Use Among Teens - Fentanyl and Other Lesser-Known Drugs

May 7, 2026

This training will emphasize the importance of preventing adolescent substance use. A review of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Hypothesis will serve as a frame of reference for how exposure to adversity in childhood and adolescence may increase the risk for substance use. The role of resilience and relationships with peers will be explored. Specific local, state and national resources pertaining to Fentanyl and other lesser-know drugs will be shared. Participants will know specific information about Fentanyl and some other drugs and where to find resources with additional information related to such drugs.
