Ethics Experienced: Case Examples in Mental Health Settings

Activity Description

This course provides research on common ethical challenges for mental health professionals and reviews the benefits of ethical decision-making models. Participants will practice applying ethical decision-making steps to case studies. Case studies include legal cases which allow learners to experience the real outcomes of the decisions other professionals have made. Use of ethical principles and virtues-based decision-making is explained with emphasis how challenges personal beliefs which may create ethical conflicts in professional settings.

  2. Describe the benefits of using an ethical decision-making model
  3. Compare three ethical decision-making models

  5. Analyze the term "ethical bracketing" and its importance in making ethical decisions
